22. April 2013: Restaurant Münz
I have only been at Münz for drinks and that was nice – now I made it for lunch and it was not so nice. The salad which belongs to the lunch menu was rather disappointing not really being tasty at all and the sauce was rather dull and industrial.
The “veal liver Venetian style served with roesti and vegetables” (CHF 29.50) was okay. The quality of the liver was acceptable, not mind-blowing though and the rest was fine too. I mean, if you are hungry, it won’t kill you but good food is something different!
The waitress on the other hand was very friendly and helpful and did her best. The prices are actually quite okay for Zurich but then again you get better lunch menus for this price. The mineral water, 0,5L accounting for CHF 6.50, is fine price-wise too. The atmosphere of the place is actually quite nice – it is modernly and appealingly designed, simple and welcoming.
Overall, the place is nice, the waitress was friendly, the prices are fine but the food is definitely not what you want to “enjoy” – especially for a business lunch.
