18. May 2013: Cantina de Frida
The perfect place for people watching and the like – you have the perfect feeling of sitting close to the sea although Belgrade is about 500 kilometers away from the sea. Due to the fact that the two rivers Danube and Sava are dominant in the city it provides you with this comfortable feeling of being close to the sea. Amazing atmosphere and you can just watch the people strolling by. But not only the place is good for people wathcing but also ffor drinking Mojitos (500.00 RSD).
While the inside is not that very great …
… the outside is either but due to the before-described fact of sun and “close to the sea feeling”, it is great! What is – well – something with optimization potential is the service. For once they are not all that friendly. We wanted a table and he was bitching about the table being reserved in one hour so I finally talked him into letting us sit for that one hour and then we’d go. Of course, no one ever came to claim the table.
So, although the place is nice, they try to make it fancier than it is by putting “Reserved” thingies on the tables all around – damn annoying! Still, I can highly recommend the place for drinks in the sun and people watching!
