20. May 2013: Executive Lounge @Metropol Palace, A Luxury Collection
I have been to a couple of “Executive Lounges” in Starwood hotels and this one is a downer. Although the rest of the hotel is great – including the Junior Suites – the lounge is really not what you want to see when you imagine a lounge. The place is unattended, the selection of beverages is very limited.
The selection of dishes is slightly better but also not outstanding. At least the dishes are tasty. The place itself seems to be somehow deserted – although there were other people in the lounge, it is really not a lounge but rather another room where they put some chairs to “make it a lounge”.
