13. September 2013: Zum Heurigen Wolff

| October 4, 2013 | 0 Comments

The Heuriger is typical Viennese institution – in the framework of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an event took place that evening. The place itself was quite nice, simple, dark, not too much light, and last but not least also comfortable although on the first floor you can only find hard wooden benches to sit on. The obazda-like spreads were a good start into the day. The buffet offered a nice variety of different typical Austrian dishes like dumplings, Viennese Schnitzel, etc. and I must say that it was quite tasty.

The service is dedicated, fun and generally does a good job. But overall, I must say I have been to better Heurigen than this one. It somehow lacked a bit in something – can’t quite put my finger on it but it did. Especially, as the evening cost EUR 45.00, I must say I was a bit disappointed (even though wine was included).
