30. December 2013: Restaurant Happily Ever After
As a starter I had “Edamame” (14.00 TRL) not really knowing what I was about to order and I think I had it like that for the first time in my life and I must say that it was actually quite aromatic and good.
And actually even the olives served were better then the ones I have tried so far in Istanbul.
As a main course, I went for “Organic Chicken Cæsar, parmesan, crouton, anchovies, lettuce” (33.00 TRL) but unfortunately, the anchovies were missing which was already a downer for me. Secondly, the salad sauce was rather artifical and the chicken too dry. Overall, not really an appealing dish.
At least the Turkish Tea (4.50 TRL) was rich and tasty. The waiters did generally a good job but it took them quite long to take up the order in the beginning. The place itself is not that great as it is somehow a bit dirty in style but because of the view onto the Bosphorus it is actually worth a visit. What was a bit odd, for me at least, was the fact that you are not able to give tipp with credit card.
