30. December 2013: Şino Café

| January 5, 2014 | 0 Comments

The Şino Café is located close to the Ortaköy harbour which is quite an artsy and interesting bazaar like area. Randomly walking by looking for a place to smoke a shisha, we were not disappointed. The Turkish Tea (3.00 TRL) was tasty and not too strong.

Without having asked for anything to eat we were served some turkish delights – no clue what it was called but consisting of pistacchio and some sweet elements, it was definitely yummy.

Even better was the “Narghile” (aka Shisha / waterpipe) with “Green Apple” taste (20.00 TRL). The shisha was prepared perfectly, the smoke was smooth, the coal was changed in a very frequent rhythm so you were able to smoke the shisha for approx. 45 minutes before it started being scratchy in your throat.

Overall, the Şino Café is a nice place, comfortable seats, nice atmosphere, very good service – our waiter Mehmet did a marvelous job – and nice shisha. Worth a visit while you are at Ortaköy!
