23. March 2014: Restaurant @ Hotel Post Brail
It is approximately 12 years ago since I last ate at the Restaurant @ Hotel Post Brail and back then I had “Fondue Chinoise à discretion” and obviously I decided to have “Fondue Chinoise à discretion” (CHF 48.00) this time too and it included a salad …
… and was served with curry, garlic, cocktail and tartare sauce as well as rice, French fries, pickles, litchis, plums, and onions while offering a nice selection of various meats (venison, beef, pork, veal).
The fondue was tasty, provided a nice selection and there was definitely enough. Additionally to that, the prices for the beverages were absolutely fair too (0,75L water, CHF 8.80; double espresso, CHF 4.90). The place itself is very nice and welcoming – everything is designed in light wood and is decorated very lovely. The service is fine – but efficient is definitely different. The unnecessary ways between the kitchen and the table were quite many but I stopped counting after 10.
Overall, I can still recommend the Restaurant @ Hotel Post Brail – very nice host, nice atmosphere, good food, fair price performance ratio and last but not least, good service (with room for process optimization).
