When I walked out the last time, I absolutely loved this place and when I was there this time pretty much the same happened. With the menu came a “Insalata Mista” and while usually as a menu salad you get some crappy green salad with industrially produced sauce this salat was fresh, rich in ingredients and also very tasty!

The “Carpaccio di manzo” (CH 23.00) was thin cut meat with fresh parmesan cheese and some rocket salad on top – lovely in taste, absolutely fresh and a good start for the main course which was as of per this day …

… “Grigliata mista di pesce con verdura fresca” (CHF 39.00) which means mixed plate of seafood with grilled vegetables. The seafood selection was nice ranging from salmon to king prawns and yet two other fishes which were also tasty. The vegetables which came with the seafood were of a nice variety and also rich in taste.

Last but not least, the dinner was ended with “half a Tiramisu” (CHF 6.00 charged; price for a whole tiramisu is CHF 12.00) which was also truly delicious and freshly prepared. A sin in calories but definitely worth having!

The place itself is somehow simple but on the other hand very inviting and nice – and the fact that it is very full during lunch speaks for itself (although this cannot be seen on the picture). I had booked a table at 1pm and upon arrival at 12:45pm we still had to waitas our table was not yet free. The place is run by Italians who all speak Italian and who are dedicated to their job – doing a great job!

Last but not least, the prices for what you get are also pretty fair – which applies to the dishes as well as to the beverages (double espresso, CHF 6.70; 0,5L water CHF 6.50; 3dl Ripasso, CHF 25.50). So, overall, I can still aboslutely recommend the Restaurant da Angela!
