24. May 2014: Biergarten am Aachener Weiher

| June 10, 2014 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Biergarten am Aachener Weiher is absolutely lovely – very simple indeed but very lovely! You get to sit close to the little lake and have, therefore, a marvelous view. In addition to that you get to watch the people passing by but not only that, there is also somehow a place where random music events take place. That afternoon it was apparently the afternoon of trance and dance music which was played loudly and people were dancing to it.

The service is friendly but you have to be patient in the beginning until you are noticed. The beer tastes as beer usually tastes and is fair in price (0,5L wheat beer, EUR 5.00; a large Kölsch, EUR 3.80). Overall, if you want to spend an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon, the Restaurant Biergarten am Aachener Weiher is the place to go in Cologne.
