13. August 2014: Widder Bar @ Widder Hotel
A place which is always great for a couple of drinks is the Widder Bar in the Widder Hotel in the centre of Zurich. While I have never experienced that a “Moscow Mule” (CHF 16.50) is served in a tin cup, I must admit it was pleasant. Besides the good mixture (and the resulting taste) it is also nicely strong.
The bar itself – as initially already mentioned – is absolutely lovely. But not only the bar you can see (with a vast selection of different liquors) but also the interior and the respective decoration.
With regards to the service I must admit that they are trying to be friendly but they do not entirely manage to remain so throughout the night. However, even if the service is only of limited professionality it is still a nice place to go.
