6. September 2014: Silk Club
The Silk club is apparently one of the best clubs in Lisbon – although I personally must admit that that did not match my perception. However, I was on the guestlist as I had it organized in advance which made entrance easy (and free). Once you reach the top of the building in which the club is located you get a glimpse of an idea why the club is popular – if the weather is nice you get to see all over the city. However, if it is rainy, then it is definitely not so great.
When asking for a place to sit (a table), it seemed to be a major difficulty for the waiter to get us one. However, at least the waiter at the counter was friendly and helpful. The “Vodka Lemon” (EUR 10.00) is quite average but at least prepared in a way so it is appropriately strong. The club was rather empty, even after midnight. To sum it up, great view with good weather, but nothing more than that really, so overall not a place I would really recommend.
