11. September 2014: Gelateria Amorino San Lorenzo
As everytime I walk by a Amorino I have to pay it a visit, I also entered the Gelateria Amorino San Lorenzo this time and went for something I have not tried yet – this time I took a “Coppa Media” (EUR 4.50) with “Vaniglia di Tahiti, Dulce de Leche, and Cocco Sri Lanka”. The vanille icecream was taste-intense, the dulce de leche sweet as expected but my highlight this time was the cocco – as it was not only aromatic but you had a nice bunch of cocco pieces in it.
As usually, the waiter was friendly and helpful, the place is looking the same as everywhere and, therefore, is as nice as everywhere else. So, nothing new here.
Something the Amorino offers which is not offered by other Amorino’s I’ve been to so far is “Juan’s Orxata” (EUR 3.20) which is a drink also commonly known in South and Middle America but something you won’t usually find in central Europe – and it is quite tasty I must admit.
All in all, nothing new in the Amorino world but I would recommend you to try the “Juan’s Orxata” if you are into trying something new. It is – taste-wise – somehow based on almonds but is a drink which is absolutely pleasant.
