10. October 2014: Restaurant Le Liber’Tea
The problem if you are the first time in a city and you are starving is that you walk pretty much in the second best place you see – so did I with the Restaurant Le Liber’Tea. The “Club Poulet, Pain de mie, blanc de Poulet, œufs, tomates, salade, mayonnaise” (EUR 10.50) took reasonably long to be served and was actually not even that bad as it was still nicely juicy and the poulet was also not as dry as it often is.
After half an hour the waiter suddendly decided to come by and bring an “Apero plate with salami, vegetables, and olive paste” which was on the house and a nice gesture. It also fit rather well to the large (1L) beers (EUR 13.50). The place itself is somehow interesting as it is located in a zone where there are a lot of pedestrians and it is ideal for people watching but it is also rather run down.
There is just one waiter for the whole 20 tables which obviously leads to stress on his side, resulting in waiting customers which is rather annoying. We had to wait for approximately 20 minutes until we were finally able to pay the bill. All in all, the Le Liber’Tea is okay – just okay.
