13. November 2014: Restaurant Chicago Meatpackers
The “legendary big bopper (double beef burger with bbq suace, bacon and backed onions with cole slaw)” (EUR 16.90) and “sweet potato fries” (EUR 1.00) is definitely a great burger. The meat is juicy and aromatic, the buns are nicely crispy and the sweet potato fries are a welcome change to the regular French freis you get in every burger joint.
Besides the burger, the drinks are also quite fine, a “Mojito” (EUR 6.90) is intense and rich in taste. The “Touch Down” (EUR 7.90) is also recommendable. The waitress was very friendly, quick, and always available when needed. The place itself is nothing really special though. It is designed like a regular American bar which serves the purpose it has but on the other hand lacks somehow a bit in atmosphere.
Still, all in all, the Restaurant Chicago Meatpackers is a great place for tasty burgers and good drinks. If you are lucky enough to the get friendly waitress, you’ll have a great evening – despite the loud background.
