8. December 2014: Restaurant Scent of Bamboo
Sometimes, the Scent of Bamboo is better than other times. This time, unfortunately, it was not that great. The “coco corn ‘surimi’ soup” (CHF 4.50) was pretty watery and did not taste like much.
The “fried noodles, Scent of Bamboo style” (CHF 20.50) sounded promising but were really a disappointment. The idea of putting different kinds of meat into the meal is obviously a nice one but I must admit that the quality of the meat was to a large degree disappointing.
The place is as simple as it always has been, the service is very friendly though and does a good job – despite the lack of attentiveness. However, this time I was quite disappointed of the whole meal. I hope it’ll improve soon again as this “Scent of Bamboo style” dish was definitely not up to the task!
