23. December 2014: Restaurant Hof Zuort
The Hof Zuort is very secluded and you need to walk approximately one hour from the next little village called Vnà. The walk is very relaxing though as you are walking through a quite and peaceful region. Once you arrive there, you are taken aback by the beauty and quietness of the little restaurant you can find there.
The “barley soup” (CHF 10.00) is okay but a bit too watery for my gusto. I am used to barley soups where you can find a whole lot of different ingredients so it becomes a really thick soup. This one, however, is tasty but lacks in the mentioned thickness.
What is great though is the atmosphere of the place – outside as well as inside. And in addition to that, the service is very friendly and incredibly swift. A second after you’ve taken your seat, the waitress is there to take your order, respectively once you’ve ordered, you receive the orders within minutes. All in all, definitely worth taking the little walk back there – and even the prices are fair (e.g. 1l spring water from Zuort, CHF 6.80).
