30. December 2014: Café Restaurant Chez Zaza

| February 23, 2015 | 0 Comments

The Café Restaurant Chez Zaza is a bit tricky to find – as the entrance is tiny and the stairs are quite steep and it does not look to trusthworthy but once you make it to the roof top it is pretty cool up there.

You should also try the “Moroccan pastries” (25 MAD) with the “Spices Coffee” (12 MAD) as both is very unique and tasty.

Obviously, what is not to forget is the “Thé à la menthe” (20 MAD) which is good as always and obviously also served in the respective way you want it to be served. The prices are more than fair – which also applies to the water (0,5L, 8 MAD).

The real reason why you should come up here is the view though. Especially when the sun goes down, you get a beautiful view of the skyline of Marrakesh and …

… of the souk right below you which is still very lively even when it gets dark (to be fair, not as lively as during daylight). The place seems to be run by a family and two of the sons do the service – and they are very friendly and helpful. Definitely great spot!

Overall, the Café Restaurant Chez Zaza is perfect to sit down, enjoy the view, see how the day goes towards its end, and to relax a bit while getting out of the busy streets of the souk. Definitely a must visit to calm down!
