31. December 2014: Le Bar Italien – La Mamounia

| February 25, 2015 | 0 Comments

If you stay in a place like Marrakesh, you have to see the hotels which were part of history making – I think. So I decided to pay the “La Mamounia” a visit, respectively the “Le Bar Italien” within the La Mamounia hotel. It is rather difficult to get in as you have to be residing at the La Mamounia. However, it is possible if you just walk in confidently enough when approaching the door.

The “Le Bar Italien” is definitely very atmospheric. The whole place is somehow a bit orange-ish which is definitely a bit special and you have to get used to, however, if you do not wonder how it might look at daylight, it is a very pleasant and relaxing place.

The “Mint Julep” (190 MAD) has Swiss prices and only tastes limitedly perfect. The “nuts and olives selection” which is served complimentary is quite good though. The service is absolutely flawless. The waiters and waitresses are dedicated, passionate, attentive, and just do a great job! Definitely absolutely outstanding service which makes you feel like you are in any high class resort in the world.

Overall, the Le Bar Italien in the La Mamounia hotel is worth a visit – for its interior and for experience the moment of flawless service in Morocco. However, it is quite pricey – especially compared to what you experience outside of the walls of the La Mamounia hotel.
