1. January 2015: Sky 28 @Kenzi Tower Hotel
As the Restaurant SENS which is also located in the Kenzi Tower Hotel only opens at 7:30pm, I decided to spend the time before that in the bar which is located on the 28th floor of the hotel – right on top of the restaurant. And I had – once more – a “thé à la menthe” (45 MAD). The bar tries to be stylish but somehow does not succeed really as the place seems pretty run down and the sahdy light does not really do any good in changing that impression.
The view from the 28th floor onto Casablanca is nice though and definitely something you want to see. If you really want to sit down and drink something here, is another question. In addition to that, you can also still smoke here inside which does not really contribute to the atmosphere.
The service is friendly but you have to be patient for anything – getting the menu, placing the order, getting the tea, getting the bill. At least they are fair, friendly and polite – and when you randomly forget your camera, they later bring it down to the 27th floor, to the Restaurant SENS (nice gesture, thumbs up for that)!
