2. January 2015: Café Maure @ Kasbah of the Udayas

| March 2, 2015 | 0 Comments

When you go to Rabat for one day, you have to make sure you visit the “Kasbah of the Udayas” – and when you are there, you should also take a short break in the Café Maure which is located within the Kasbah. The place is absolutely simple but very lovely as you have a great view onto the ocean. The tables and chairs are made of wood and are a bit shakey but that does not really matter – as it is just lovely to sit there and take in the sun.

The “thé à la menthe” (10 MAD) you get here, you get by the glass and not in a can (as usually) but it is aromatic and intense. There is even a guy with Moroccan pastries coming to your table after some time so you could also indulge in sweets.

Even the entrance to the little café is already appealing – straight from the garden of the Kasbah to the café.

Definitely worth a visit when you are visiting Rabat.
