6. January 2015: Restaurant Sonnenhalde
The “homemade barley soup from Grisons” (CHF 8.90) did more look like a cream soup and to my personal gusto it was a bit too watery and did not have enough different ingredients in it. However, taste-wise it was okay.
The “fine fish strips with sauce tartare, garnished with various salads” (CHF 18.50) is a light dish and okay in taste. The salad is actually quite good, the sauce tartare not too special and the fish strips are also quite okay. It is just very regular Swiss food you can find here.
The service is generally friendly and relatively swift. Somehow that day another waitress than usually was there and she was a bit slower than the other one. However, friendly. The prices for the dishes are acceptable and the same applies for the beverages (1l water, CHF 7.50). The Sonnenhalde provides regular Swiss food – but a great view, especially when the sun is shining.
