2. February 2015: Café Juan Valdez Santa Fé

| March 18, 2015 | 0 Comments

The first impression I got of Colombia was a typical Colombian dish – “Arepa Artisanal con queso” (2700 COP). It is a corn-based product filled with cheese which was definitely a good start for a breakfast.

The Juan Valdez Café is a chain which you can compare to Starbucks – just more about the actual coffee than any weird aromas around it. The “double espresso” (3300 COP) really is intense and rich. The prices are very reasonable obviously (e.g. sparkling water, 2900 COP) and the service is friendly. Atmopshere-wise, the place is not rocking but fine to sit down in a shopping mall and have a good and aromatic coffee.
