8. February 2015: Restaurant Harry Sasson

| April 1, 2015 | 0 Comments

Actually more be accident than planned I walked in yet another Harry Sasson this time in Cartagena instead of Bogotá and I must admit I was also not disappointed. The “Carpaccio Harry’s Bar con Dressing de Mostaza” (26’800 COP) had good meat quality and the combination with the mustard dressing and the fresh parmesan shavings with a little rocket salad and red pepper corns was a good but simple lunch.

You are served complementary “queso costeño con pan” when you are seated. The cheese has a rather distinct taste but is definitely something you should try when you are there.

Once more I decided to go for a “Jugo de Lulo” (6’500 COP) but had to realize that it was not as good as I had expected it to be. I tried a home-made juge de lulo later and frankly, it was the best of all the jugos de lulo I had tried.

With regards to the atmosphere, the Harry Sasson restaurant is located in the Charleston Santa Teresa Hotel in the patio. The atmosphere is nice, welcoming and friendly. And so is the staff. After an initial small waiting period the service was swift and attentive.

The prices are rather decent for what you get – including the beverages (e.g. agua, 9’000 COP). If you are looking for a quick snack for the afternoon, the Restaurant Harry Sasson in Cartagena is a good choice although the Harry Sasson in Bogotá is better – at least in my experience.
