21. February 2015: Restaurant Café Luitpold
Years ago I had one of the best service experiences at the Restaurant Café Luitpold but this time it did not entirely meet my expectations. The circumstances were a bit different and it was more an afternoon snack than a proper dinner but it was still a bit disappointing. I went for the “French parsnip foam soup with truffle bacon croûtons” (EUR 7.80) which was astonishingly good, especially as the truffle was not overwhelming but very decent.
The “Tarte Flambee classic with bacon cubes from Tirol, onion and chive” (EUR 9.20) was not only taste-intense but actually tasty. So with regards to the food there was not too big of a disappointment as the dishes were above average good.
The inside of the restaurant was completely full though and the little patio in which we ended up sitting definitely does not have the same atmosphere as the actual restaurant. With regards to the service one word must be said. The service was okay but it did not have the same dedication, passion, and perfection as the last time. Overall, the Restaurant Café Luitpold is a place I can still recommend.
