As horrible as the hotel experience was – I will never again stay at this premise when in Mannheim – the breakfast was surprisingly good. The selection ranges from various cereals …
… to yoghurts and compoted fruit …
… vegetables, salmon, cold cuts, …
… various juices …
… fresh bread …
… eggs and bacon …
… and pancakes.
The food was, as outlined before, good but nothing special. The place is simple but actually quite nice so you can totally sit down and have your breakfast here the moment you have to stay at this hotel. The service is friendly but there is room for improvement. I had asked for a green tea – the answer was: it is over there, prepare it yourself. I mean, okay, yeah, I can do that. But then, why the hell do you walk around with an empty tray if you don’t have anything to do anyway? Isn’t service that … service? Well, apparently not!
