22. March 2015: Restaurant Gasthaus Leonhardt
The Gasthaus Leonhardt is perfect to sit outside in the sun. The “bell pepper cream soup with roasted bell peppers” (EUR 4.20) is rich and aromatic and the perfect starter for a small lunch.
The “tagliatelle with cooked savoy cabbage cabbage, bacon and parmesan” (EUR 8.90) were surprisingly good. I really had not expected much but I must admit that they were quite good although the savoy cabbage kind of took overhand.
The place is very simple, very German, but still somehow lovely. With regards to the service it must be said that you have to be quite patient in the beginning until someone finally shows up at your table to take the order. Once that had happened, it went relatively quick until the first course was served. The prices are fair (which is also true for beverages, e.g. Gerolsteiner Sprudel, 0,25L, EUR 2.50). Overall, the Gasthaus Leonhardt is a fine place for a quick lunch in the sun.
