25. March 2015: Restaurant Better Burger Company
Sometimes you expect absolutely nothing and you get absolutely everything. When I heard about the “Better Burger Company” it sounded promising – when I saw the place, it wasn’t so promising anymore. When I tried the burger – I was happy!
I went for the “Ice Tea menu with the BBC Burger with a beef patty (100gr) which includes unlimited refills of the home-made ice tea, French fries, and five toppings (I went for roasted onions, cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, and jalapeños)” (EUR 8.90) and for only EUR 1.00 you get an additional beef patty of 100gr. You have to be quite patient until it is your turn but once you are at the counter and can put the toppings on your burger, you already feel your mouth becoming all watery.
The burger is superdelicious as the patties are juicy, nicely grilled, aromatic, full of flavour which is re-inforced by the surprisingly good fries and the various toppings.
The place itself is super simple. Nothing like a restaurant really but much more a fast food joint – but definitely worth going!
You are able to sit outside as well as inside and while you have enough space inside it was relatively cold as the doors were open. Besides the regular mayonnaise and ketchup there are four different kinds of mustards on each table so you can actually pimp up your burger with any combination of mustard you want.
The service is swift and friendly but they could improve with regards to the overall friendliness. I mean, they are friendly but somehow they just limit it down to the absolutely necessary. However, I can absolutely recommend the Better Burger Company because they really make “better burgers”!
