27. March 2015: Restaurant Mainnizza
The “beef tatar classical (100gr) to prepare by yourself, freshly cut with 12 ingredients on the etagère, bread and butter” (EUR 14.50). The beef tatar was definitely good – cut quite roughly but good in taste. What was actually missing though were the 12 ingredients on the etagère which was a bit of a disappointment as I looking forward to them very much.
As a main course I went for the “duo of tuna and perch with lemongrass sauce and an asparagus cress risotto” (EUR 24.50). The fish was good in taste although the tuna was cooked a bit too much for my personal gusto. The asparagus cress risotto on the other hand was incredibly tasty.
The restaurant has a nice interior as it is located directly at the river and when it is still bright you actually have quite a nice view. The interior design is modern but decent. The service is good on average, swift, friendly, but lacks a bit in attention (to be fair though we were the last table in the corner that evening). The Restaurant Mainnizza is recommended for business dinners – nice location, you can sit for quite a while and the dishes are good.
