25. April 2015: Restaurant Stormkjøkkenet
It was raining cats and dogs that day – so taking a short break from everything, and especially the rain, seemed like a good idea so we entered the first place we saw when we decided to do so. And it was quite a lucky shot! The Stormkjøkkenet restaurant was not really open at 11am but they let us in and offered us some coffee (double espresso, 40 NOK).
The place is very atmospheric with a nice interior design where you feel immediately comfortable and you don’t mind that much anymore that the touristic system in Oslo seems really not to be up to date (there is supposed to be a touristic bus for sightseeing, which was not running that day, but noone was able to provide some information, there were absolutely no signs, nothing. And there were 3 different maps around the city and online on where the stops should be – we didn’t see a single one)!
The service is very friendly and helpful when you want a coffee, a wifi-password, to pay the bill. Anything! And they have nice background music streaming the band “Crussen” from Soundcloud. If you have time and even if you are hungry you should go here and rest, have a coffee or even something to eat!
