18. May 2015: Restaurant TAO’s
I wanted to visit TAO’s for years but somehow never managed – finally, I got to pay the restaurant a visit. The “cold cucumber soup with green curry” (CHF 14.00) is a decent start and perfectly refreshing for a hot summer evening.
The “beef tatar with homemade brioche” (CHF 38.00) on the other hand is rather average to be honest. While the garden is absolutely lovely and you get to spend a great time outside, I must admit that the dishes did not blow my mind or tickle my taste buds really. And for what you get, the prices are also quite steep. A double espresso accounts for CHF 7.00, a bottle of water for CHF 10.00.
Unfortunately, the service is definitely not satisfying. We had to ask several times for the bill until someone finally arrived which is quite annoying to be honest! However, if you are up for a drink, I can definitely recommend you to have it in the garden of the restaurant TAO’s as the atmosphere is lovely – if you are looking for good food, I would go somewhere else.
