2. July 2015: Restaurant Katharinenthal

| September 6, 2015 | 0 Comments

If you manage to visit Tallinn you also have to pay a short visit to Catherine’s Palace – lovely place! And it is absolutely okay to have a coffee at the Restaurant Katharinenthal. The “double espresso” (EUR 2.60) is strong and definitely provides you with the energy to keep going!

The place seems to be a little pastry shop and apparently is quite busy. However, somehow the waitresses seemed a bit challenged when I had ordered the doppio and it took them a solid 10 minutes to bring it to the table. Not really how I expect service to be if you are sitting right in front (!) of the counter! A bit funny but they are very friendly and make up for it like that.

Assuming I was just unlucky when ordering, I can recommend the place. The pastry seems super tasty (I didn’t feel like eating anything sweet at 38° celsius outside) and the place and view are lovely.
