4. July 2015: Restaurant Planeta

| September 12, 2015 | 0 Comments

I usually conduct quite a lot of research before actually going to a restaurant – however, this time I did not and I was quite positively surprised by what I found. As it was burning hot, I was looking for a refreshing drink and the “Crush Kumquats, 0,4L” (EUR 4.00) is definitely what you can enjoy if you are thirsty. The good thing is, if you order a bottle of sparkling water (0,75L, EUR 5.00), you can always re-fill and prolong the refreshing drink.

As a starter I went for the “Maguro Tartar (tuna tartar with ponzu sauce)” (EUR 4.50). I did not expect much for EUR 4.50 but I must admit that the tuna tartar was actually quite aromatic and rich – especially in combination with the ponzu sauce.

What was even better, was the “marinated chirashi (sliced tiger prawns, salmon, tuna, cucumber and cilantro served over brown sushi rice)” (EUR 9.00). The dish was very delicious – as it had an interesting consistency and was very flavourful at the same time.

As usually, I checked in on Foursquare and noticed that there was a “20% discount” if you’re checked in. I showed this to the waitress and she did not know anything about it but promised to obtain clarification – she did and the discount was valid which made the whole thing even better! In general, although in the beginning the waiting time until the beverages were served was a bit high, I must admit after that she did a truly great job! Overall, I can totally recommend the Restaurant Planeta – nice atmosphere, good service, good food, and finally, amazing price-performance ratio!
