24. July 2015: Restaurant Bristol @ Hotel Bristol

| October 23, 2015 | 0 Comments

Even after five years of living in hotels on a very constant basis with more than a 100 nights in some years, I still wonder why people can get up 45 minutes earlier than they really have to just to have a hotel breakfast. However, if you reside at the Hotel Bristol in Vienna, then you definitely should get up even one hour earlier as the selection of different dishes for breakfast are just exquisite!

However, I must admit, I always loved, loved, loved the bacon here. Because it was so nicely crispy and not that greasy like it is in most hotels. So I am guessing that they changed their chef – as the bacon was not as good as it usually is, and the same applies to the vegetables. Despite that this was a bit disappointing, the rest is still outstanding.

But not only the selection of dishes is exquisite, also – since they had rebuilt the restaurant approximately one year ago – the atmosphere is incredibly lovely and you feel great sitting down and having breakfast.

What definitely adds to the whole experience is the service. Although, unfortunately, I must admit, it used to be a bit better. I was waiting for more than 5 minutes until a waitress arrived at my table (and no, it was not super-crowded) and then I was waiting for another 10 minutes until the tea finally reached my table. I had to leave without touching my tea – a pity. However, even though the service used to be better it is still upper class. So, if you reside at the Hotel Bristol, or if you stay in Vienna, you should definitely absolutely have breakfast here.
