30. August 2015: Restaurant Cantina della Vetra
The “brunch” (EUR 30.00) at the Cantina della Vetra is still my absolute favourite brunch in the world. You have a marvelous selection of various dishes …
… and the good thing is that one is tastier than the next …
… but I must admit that I was a bit disappointed to not find any mozzarella di bufala or burrata this time …
… but the rest is still absolutely amazing! And not only because you have a large buffet to select your dishes from but also because …
… there is dessert and because they are very dedicated to help you.
My company was vegetarian and they made her an extra dish – veggies only – although that was not on the menu or part of the original brunch. And that without charging anything in addition.
Amazingly, for the EUR 30.00 you do not only to get the raid the buffet as much as you want but you also get to choose one warm dish. I went for the “Oricchiette with tomatoes and ricotta cheese” and it was absolutely lovely.
But the restaurant is not only outstanding because of the food and the service but also because the atmosphere is absolutely lovely. It feels like you are in a small family-run business in a small Italian town somewhere up in the mountains while actually being in the middle of Milan!
I am still a huge fan of the Restaurant Cantina della Vetra – lovely atmosphere, outstanding service, great dishes, and extremely fair prices! If you like good food, you should absolutely go here! And book a table in advance as else you don’t stand a chance to have something to eat here!
