11. October 2015: Fábrica Coffee Roasters

| December 23, 2015 | 0 Comments

It is not that easy to find a decent place for breakfast as many places are closed on a Sunday. However, finally the Fábrica Coffee Roasters was found and I must say that it was a lucky shot. We only walked in as it started raining and it looked cozy from the outside. And while it was super warm inside, it is definitely a place which serves great coffee, respectively “Espresso Fabrica Blend Duplo” (EUR 1.70) and absolutely decent sandwiches. I had the “Sandwich: Veal, rocket salad, marinated cucumber, mayonnaise with dill and barbecue sauce” (EUR 4.90) and while it was definitely delicious, especially due to its very yummy sauce.

The “Iberian Salad, pepper, cherry tomato, cucumber, mustard and salmon in caramel sauce” (EUR 8.90) was on one side rather plain but on the other hand the salmon in the caramel sauce was actually very yummy. The salmon was still a bit glassy and the caramel sauce added a nice spot of sweetness to the dish.

The place is very atmospheric, very relaxed, just very welcoming and you can find all kinds of artsy people …

… and you’re able to look right into the kitchen and see how they prepare everything. Which is actually quite impressive as the place, and especially the kitchen, is very very tiny!

Overall, the place is nice – good atmosphere, good food, fair prices, and last but not least very friendly service. Definitely worth a visit for a hearty breakfast!
