19. November 2015: Restaurant Baradona
It is quite difficult to find anything close to the real Mexican food in Europe. However, I must admit that what you get in the Restaurant Baradona actually comes quite close to what I have experienced with regards to Mexican dishes. I went for the “Enchilades Verdes (a corn tortilla stuffed with chicken, green tomato sauce, beans, cheese, créme fraîche)” (EUR 7.30) which was spicy but great in taste.
Secondly, I went for the “Enchiladas Rojas de Nopalitos (corn tortilla stuffed with cactus, beans, cheese, créme fraîche)” (EUR 7.30) which are actually on the menu as “verdes” but they made it possible to have “rojas”. I guess I haven’t eaten nopales outside of Mexico so far – so big yummy!
The “Pollo en Mole (chicken in mole sauce, corn tortillas)” (EUR 4.60) were very aromatic as well. The waitress was very friendly and brought us our dishes within no time. Definitely a lovely place with great food.
Even the “Quesadillas (flour tortillas stuffed with cheese)” (EUR 5.00) were good. The place is very simple in its atmosphere but you feel comfortable immediately.
Overall, the Baradona is an absolutely great place to have good, close to authentic Mexican food! Good services, very reasonable prices (also true for the beverages, i.e. San Pellegrino, 0,75L, EUR 5.00), nice atmosphere and yummy food!
