11. December 2015: Restaurant Schmitz Fine Food
Do you know that feeling when you have passed a place quite a couple of times and always thought you would never go there – but then you somehow still end up going there? Well, welcome to Schmitz Fine Food! It does look like a fast food joint and well, I guess, technically it is. However, what you get is not the typical “fast food” but much more hearty but delicious food. I decided to go for the “Threesome” (EUR 22.50) – sounds dirty but it is delicious. You can pick from three different meats (I went for “pulled pork”, “premium beef”, and “pulled chicken”), two sides (I went for “mac and cheese” (usually EUR 4.00) and “side salad” (usually EUR 4.00)), and two sauces (I went for “Spicy Tomato Relish” (usually EUR 1.00) and “Bourbon BBQ sauce” (usually EUR 1.00)).
The portion was tremendous so you would feel super-full when you have finished the dish. Additionally to that, the prices is very fair for the quality, the taste, and the amount you get. The atmosphere of the place is not top notch but definitely fine for a fast food joint. Overall, the Schmitz Fine Food is a great place to have lunch. Hearty, tasty portions for a very good price performance ratio with friendly service at the counter.
