29. December 2015: Wine & Bar Lounge @ Hotel Belvédère
Whenever I am in Scuol, I pay the Hotel Belvédère a visit because they have a nice bar with a nice terrace. However, this time I was rather disappointed! When entering the bar I asked for space and was referred to the lobby area as the bar area had been reserved. As the bartender obviously noticed, as he had directed me to the lobby, I was gonna sit down there. But obviously, nobody fell obliged to come and check on us. Only after we had moved some chairs because we were a group of 8 and wanted all to sit at the same table, and after I had approached the reception to ask if the lobby area was served, finally a waiter showed up.
At that stage I was rather pissed about the bad, inattentive service but the young gentleman who then showed up did a marvelous job – being friendly, swift, and very considerate. The “Moscow Mule” (CHF 15.00) was a bit of a disappointment it did not really taste like much, respectively not how – in my opinion – a Moscow Mule should taste.
To sum it up, next time I come to Scuol I will definitely pay the bar a visit again as it is – conceptually – a nice bar. However, if the same thing happens again I will absolutely definitely never come again.
