Great seafood at the waterfront: Restaurant Pereira (30. January 2016)
The “Ceviche de frutos do mar (camarões, peixe branco, salmão, polvo, mexilhões, lulas e caju marinados em sangre de tigre, servidos com cesta de pão)” (55.00 BRL) was rich in flavour and had a lovely taste which was improved by the fruit which was added to the ceviche.
The “Picolé de Salmão (120g de filé de salmão grelhado na palito de picolé, pipoquinha de camarão e vinaigrete de blueberry)” (32.00 BRL) was a bit too dry for my personal gusto but the breaded and fried prawns were a nice little snack. However, the small blueberry spots (unfortunately, not enough of them on my plate for my personal gusto) were a great adding to the salmon. Liked that very much.
The place is rather atmospheric inside but somehow does not persuade so much with regards to the design outside despite the fact that it is located right next to the Toro Tapas Bar and has, therefore, the same view. However, the service at the Pereira is very dedicated, or to be more precise, one waiter was extremely dedicated to provide us with a great experience. And he managed flawlessly!
The prices are very fair for what you get which also includes beverages (i.e. Aqua Mineral, 0,31L, 4.90 BRL; Cafe Espresso, 6.40 BRL). If you are up for a quick tasty lunch, I can recommend you the Pereira!
