Where you still get real Swiss dishes: Restaurant Glenner (27. February 2016)

| April 27, 2016 | 0 Comments

If you are looking for a typical specialty from the Grisons in Vals, then you should come to Glenner (as long as it is still opened). The “Valser Chrut – Capuns with broth” (CHF 24.00) is not the best capuns I have had so far but it was good, and very fair in price. The broth was decent in intensitybut flavourful nevertheless.

The waitress was friendly and swift and brought the ordered beverages quite quickly (0,5L beer, CHF 5.10; 0,33L, Coca Cola, CHF 4.00). What is absolutely lovely about Glenner is the room itself. It is very simple in its decoration but you are cut from civilization somehow and you feel like you are somewhere up in the mountains and lost. Well, to some degree that is true though as you are up in the mountain.

The whole restaurant seems to be quite a favourite among the locals. We experienced during the early afternoon hours when we were there that five people came in and wanted to book a table for the evening – and it was already full after the first of the five came in. Well, so if you are interested in eating here, you should definitely book a table – and ideally way in advance!
