So promising yet disappointing: Restaurant NEO (14. March 2016)

| May 6, 2016 | 0 Comments

When you dine with EasyDining.ch you have to let them know beforehand as else they won’t accept it in the future (at least that is what I have been told). Well, I understood that it works a bit differently, but fine. We ended up paying only 50% of the dishes as we were supposed to.

The “Apéro platter (olives, cirone cheese, nut sausage from the Ueli Hof, peperoncino filled with tuna)” (CHF 17.50, respectively CHF 8.75) was actually a good start as you get a nice selection of different small appetizers and they are quite tasty.

As a main course I went for the “bio couscous salad with spicy chicken breast and fresh mint” (CHF 26.00, respectively CHF 13.00 with EasyDining.ch). For my personal taste it was not a couscous salad but couscous (rather dull) and salad on the side. Also, I did not find any fresh mint. So, it was kind of a disappointment.

While in the beginning the service was attentive and friendly, it was not entirely up to the task. It took already quite long until the bottle of water (0,8L, CHF 9.50) and the Corona (0,33L, CHF 9.00) were served. The place looks very atmospheric, very nice, the starter was great but the main was disappointing and so is the attention and attitude of the service. If you eat here for the 50%, fine, if you have to pay in full, I am not so sure if I’d pay it a visit again.
