Comfort food at its finest at the Sports Bar: Rookies (15. March 2016)

| May 7, 2016 | 0 Comments

I was curious about the place when I first entered it. And I was not that appealed when entering as it is really a sports bar which looks a bit run down. Well, first impressions can be wrong. I mean, it still remains a sports bar which looks a bit run down but the service is extremely caring and friendly and serves you within minutes.

I went for a burger which is their signature dish. The “Alabama Big Mama Doppio (Carne di Manzo, Insalata, Pomodori, Cetrioli, Cheddar)” (CHF 25.00) comes with two patties and French fries. The burger is actually quite yummy but the cheddar cheese does not taste that fresh. However, the adding of the sprouts really makes a good burger. The fries are rather boring but when you’ve had a two patty burger, you are having more than enough anyway.

Overall, the Rookies is fine place for a quick lunch as the food is decent, the prices are fair, and the service is friendly and quick. When it comes to atmosphere – well, it’s a sports bar.
