The unattended omelet station: Restaurant am Park @ Sheraton Essen (18. March 2016)

The breakfast buffet in the Sheraton Essen does not differ so much from other Sheraton breakfast buffets really. You get a selection of fresh and pickled vegetables …

… yogurts and cereals …

… various juices …

… bread and even honey from a honey comb …

… as well as various jams …

… and then, there is the omelet station. All set up but deserted. Completely unattended. Noone is there. Nobody shows up. Even after waiting for a couple of minutes, nothing. I was really looking forward to a tasty omelet but that did not really work.

However, the atmosphere is fine and the waiters are friendly but seem to wander around instead of actually attending the guests. Still, once in a while one waiter would walk by and asked if one wants a coffee or the like.

If you stay at the hotel, it is definitely fine to have breakfast here – else, it did not leave an outstanding impression.
