1. August 2010: Restaurant Le Cèdre Bellevue

| August 3, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Le Cèdre Bellevue is located at Schifflände close to Bauschänzli and in its vicinity, there are the terrasse bar and Molino-Select Zürich Limmat-Quai. It’s easily reachable by public transportation (tram 4 or 15, Stop “Helmhaus” or Stop “Bellevue” – tram 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 15). The restaurant has an outside patio which is cool because you have a lot of space to sit outside and it’s also quite calm although the place itself is quite busy.

The inside on the other hand is also quite nice but not really air-conditioned which makes it somehow suboptimal in summer. Furthermore, it gives you a much nicer impression when it’s not that crowded.

As we’ve been out together with a guy speaking Libanese, I have no clue what exactly we’ve ordered and eaten. There was some kind of Libanese salad, humus and meat. All I can say about it, that it tasted very good – it’s a bit difficult to compare as I’ve never had Libanese food before but it was tasty (although the humus I’ve had in Dubai was better).

The waiters are friendly and easy-going, up for jokes but sometimes a bit slow. It took them quite a while until we got the bill served. On the other hand, we’ve had about 8 dishes for the whole table and we’ve paid around CHF 50.00 each, which is quite decent for the amount and the quality of the food you get.

The Le Cèdre Bellevue is a great place to have Libanese Food (where you could also smoke shisha) and to enjoy the evening on the patio. You might have to be a bit patient though in order to get what you want.
