When the burger tastes great but the patty is too dry: Restaurant Jack & Jo (26. July 2016)

A good burger is what you get at Jack & Jo! That’s what I’ve heard a couple of times before actually paying the restaurant a visit. And it turns out that that statement can be confirmed now! I went for the “Jack’s Nr. 2, bacon cheese burger regular, regular portion fries, lemon lemonade” (CHF 32.80) and while the burger does not look that great it actually tastes good. However, the patty was too dry for my personal gusto. While they ask if you want a dark bread bun or a white bread bun, they do not inquire how you want your meat cooked. Which is a bit surprising.

I mean, I get it that you would not ask these kind of questions at a McDonald’s for example but given they are specialized in burgers and that they actually taste way better than at McDonald’s, I am truly wondering why they would not offer that.

The interior of the restaurant is nice and you definitely feel comfortable quickly. The service is attentive when it comes to taking your empty plates away. When it comes to ordering, you actually have to get to the counter, place your order and you get a little buzzer which informs you, once your food is ready and you can pick it up from the counter again. Overall, good burger, yes, but not my favorite burger spot in Zurich.
