Surprisingly lovely gastro pub: Restaurant Myrabelle (14. October 2016)
Honestly speaking, the Myrabelle is not exactly the place I would usually walk into but given I was close to starvation, I decided to enter the next best thing which seemed decent. The Myrabelle is more like a gastro pub and not really a restaurant from its customers and layout. However, the dishes they serve were actually quite good. I had the “beefsteak (250gr) served with gravy” (EUR 19.75) and accompanied by …
… “a salad and fried potato wedges”. The meat was surprisingly tender and aromatic and the salad and wedges were fine too. What was something which I did not expect was the fact that I had asked for a starter too but the waitress then warned me that it would be too much food. And she was absolutely right! Overall, the waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful.
As you can see, the place is really more a bar but on the 1st floor which is kind of a balcony but inside there are a couple of tables which are prepared for having lunch / dinner. And it is actually quite cozy up there (but the stairs are steep as hell).
Overall, the Restaurant Myrabelle was a very nice surprise for me as I did not really expect anything of the place but was positively surprised by the ambience, the friendly waitress, the decent dishes, and the fair prices.
