Fine breakfast: Restaurant My Place @ Element Amsterdam (16. October 2016)

| November 19, 2016 | 0 Comments

The breakfast selection at the Restaurant My Place at the Element Amsterdam is rather limited and it is very much self-service oriented. Something I am not used to from SPG hotels. However, after the second day you are kind of used to it, so it is fine. You have to get everything, plate including knife and fork and napkin from the buffet.

The selection varies a bit, depending on the day. While there was almost nothing left at 10:30am on Saturday, it was actually quite okay on Sunday when you get some types of bread …

… and various fruit juices to pick from. The selection is not really outstanding but the dishes are quite okay (and on the second day there was even bacon). The service is basically not existent – I mean, there are a couple of people roaming around to clean the tables when the customers leave, but it is not really something I would call service.

The “My Place” is quite atmospheric overall, so a decent place for breakfast with a fair selection of food. It is okay, to have breakfast here if you stay at the element anyway. In any other case, I would say it is definitely not worth the travel to get out there to have breakfast.
