Wait for a decent drink – Harry’s New York Bar @ Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade (25. November 2016)
If you want a non-standard drink like a “Mint Julep” (EUR 10.00) then you have to be patient as it takes them a solid 15 minutes to prepare the drink. I was the first of a group of 6 to order – and I was the last one who got the drink. Even 5 minutes after the last one of the others had gotten their order, I was still sitting at the bar without a drink.
The waiting pays off though – the drink is not only good but also quite strong. I’d say a bit too strong for my personal gusto but definitely worth trying. The bartender kind of made up for it as she was incredibly friendly and made the waiting time definitely more enjoyable. The bar itself is quite lovely and atmospheric and quite often there seem to be events in the Sheraton Esplanade – at least every other time when I spend a weekend here, I end up walking into an event.
