Lovely Cordon Bleu recommendation: Restaurant The Corner (8. December 2016)
It is more than a year ago since I have been to “The Corner” but it was time again. I went for the “Lamb’s Lettuce (dried meat, egg, crôutons)” (CHF 12.50) as a starter which is quite rich as there is quite a number of ingredients and the sauce is actually rich.
The lovely waitress recommended us the “Veal Cordon Bleu” (CHF 26.50) with “French Fries” (~ CHF 5.00) which was actually very good. And compared to the Cordon Bleu I lately ate at Loft Five, it was about the same size but it cost only 60% of the prize, so it was a very fair deal. And the French fries were actually quite perfectly seasoned too.
The place is fine in terms of atmosphere, and the service is overall friendly and professional. Although, the attentiveness of the staff definitely went a bit down after the main was served. Still, if you are close to Uetliberg, The Corner is definitely a can do – reservation recommended.
