Outstandingly tasty vegetarian brunch: Restaurant Napoljonska (5. January 2017)
When my friend said we were going to have a vegetarian breakfast I was quite reluctant being sure I was going to miss my daily dose of meat. It turns out though, I was wrong. I went for the “English Breakfast (home-made tomato spread, manchego cheese, kalamata olives, vegetables, 1 bio egg, 1 toasted bread)” (EUR 6.60) which is an unusual version of an English breakfast definitely missing the bacon. But it was a decent selection of different ingredients and I had enough in a very tasty way after the full breakfast.
My highlight was another one though, the “spelt crispy muesli (home-roasted, with berries, nuts, and coco flakes)” (EUR 4.50) which was absolutely incredibly delicious. Definitely one of the best muesli I have had in my life!
The place is decorated in a lovely way where you can see and feel the female touch and the attention to detail. The service is very friendly but a bit too stressed as there is basically just one person working as a waitress which seems to be the manager of the place. And she is definitely overstrained with the number of customers (e.g. she forgot my “fresh orange ginger mint tea, 0,4l” (EUR 3.70)) during peak hours.
In any case, this is a lovely breakfast café definitely worth visiting when you are in the area and especially when you are up for a late breakfast. It was absolutely full (we were lucky to get a table) and various walk-ins couldn’t get a table after. Not sure if they take reservations but if they do, I’d definitely book a table in advance.
